Why We Built This Site
Nevada warrant records sit across separate court and law-enforcement systems. NCJIS is the statewide criminal-justice repository run through DPS/RCCD, but members of the public cannot search it by name. The Judiciary describes an electronic route that sends court warrant data through the IJIS Broker to the DPS repository; official materials do not show that every local warrant appears there. Nor does an index replace the court file. The issuing District Court, Justice Court, or Municipal Court controls its case and current warrant status. Clerks keep the records for their own court tier, while a sheriff, constable, marshal, jail, or arresting agency may hold service or custody information. For an individual's own case or a relative's, start with the court and county tied to the citation, case, or missed hearing. The 17 county and county-equivalent directory entries, including Carson City, point to local routes. A blank online result is not confirmation that no warrant exists.
What You Will Find Here
- Finding the right court: how to begin a Nevada warrant search through local court channels, since NCJIS is not open to public name searches
- Outstanding warrants: what an active warrant entry can show and why a missing entry is not an all-clear
- Missed court dates: how bench warrants arise and which District, Justice, or Municipal Court keeps the case
- Arrest warrants: how Nevada arrest warrants are issued and which law-enforcement agency may serve them
- Resolving a warrant: the steps to clear a warrant, from talking to an attorney to posting bond
- The statewide system: how restricted Nevada NCJIS works and what the public cannot search
- Your county and court: the county directory for local District, Justice, and Municipal Court routes
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, with no government role in Nevada. We cannot act for the courts, DPS, or local law-enforcement offices. In particular:
- We cannot run a public query of NCJIS or confirm whether a court has issued a warrant
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or accept any kind of payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a warrant walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice or tell you how a specific warrant applies to you
- We cannot promise that a contact detail, fee, procedure, or outside listing is current
The issuing District, Justice, or Municipal Court is the source for the case and current warrant status. If that court directs you to a service or custody channel, contact the named sheriff, constable, marshal, jail, or arresting agency. We can point to local routes, but we cannot verify or change an official record.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes operated by outside providers. Those companies control their services, results, and prices. If a visitor follows a referral link to a paid signup, we may receive a fee that helps fund this site. We do not set a provider's charges or determine its results, and those tools do not provide an official Nevada court warrant check.
