Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
If you enter a name or date of birth in a search box, the information is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and returns its results. Nevada Warrant Records does not keep a log of the search terms entered through those tools.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other message is retained so we can respond. We keep it within our organization and disclose it outside the organization only when required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, technical information about the visit may be recorded, including:
- The pages opened and the time spent on each
- Your device category and operating system
- The referring website, if there was one
- Your browser type and version
- The IP address assigned to the device
- The time and date of page views
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on your device. We use them and analytics services to review broad site use, such as which pages draw visits and where visitors leave. Browser settings can block cookies; some features may not work in the same way if you do.
What We Do With This Data
- Finding and fixing technical problems
- Keeping pages available and responsive
- Passing search input to the provider that runs the selected tool
- Understanding which content is useful and where it needs changes
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Warrant Data on File
Nevada Warrant Records does not host, build, keep, or sell a database of warrants or individual warrant histories. NCJIS is managed by the Nevada Department of Public Safety's Records, Communications and Compliance Division (RCCD), but it is restricted criminal-justice infrastructure, not a public name-search site. The issuing District, Justice, or Municipal Court maintains its own case record; a service or custody record may belong to the sheriff, constable, marshal, jail, or arresting agency involved. Nevada's Public Records Act, NRS Chapter 239, governs access to qualifying records held by executive and local government entities, not records held by this private site. Court case access follows separate judicial rules. Under ADKT 410 and the Supreme Court Rules on public access, bench-warrant papers and NCJIS/NCIC reports are subject to nonpublic treatment under the rule's terms. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not compiled into consumer reports or profiles about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their own privacy terms, retention periods, and sharing practices apply to information entered there; Nevada Warrant Records does not control those practices. Read the provider's policy before you submit a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to official Nevada agency or court pages, county sites, legal-aid services, or commercial search tools. Once you leave, the destination's privacy policy applies; check it before sharing personal information.
Some advertising partners may track activity across websites to select ads. That tracking is carried out on their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Information may be handled by:
- Advertising networks that place ads on the site
- Analytics providers that measure site traffic and performance
- Search partners that process a query sent through their tool
- Government or law-enforcement authorities when a valid legal demand requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
We use standard safeguards intended to protect collected information. No online system can be guaranteed secure, however, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
Your Data Rights
Nevada's online privacy law has limited, specific duties. NRS 603A.340 requires an operator within its scope to post a notice describing covered information, sharing categories, and any process it has for review or requested changes. NRS 603A.345 provides a verified request to stop the sale of covered information where that provision applies. These statutes do not guarantee every right listed below for every website. The following are requests this privately operated site will consider, not general statutory guarantees:
- Ask what personal information this site holds about you
- Request a correction to information that is inaccurate
- Ask us to delete information we hold, where removal is feasible
- Request that we stop a type of use or sharing, including a verified sale opt-out where applicable
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy. A new version and effective date will be posted here when changes are made.
